Background

Glenville State adds another Division I talent to their roster in the 757 product Donte Morales. The 6'7 shooting guard was a monster in high school where he averaged 20 points and 10 boards as a senior and was Beach district Player of the Year that was recruited heavily by the likes of Shaka Smart, Larry Hunter, and played under Buzz Peterson at UNC- Wilmington where he was a starter.

Even though he is a natural 2 guard and can shoot the 3 with the best of them he will most likely play the four for the Pioneers due to being one of the taller players on the roster,but in Morales playing the four he will be a match up nightmare for opposing teams. Morales will rejoin his former highschool teammate Reggie Williams who is expected to start at the point for the Pioneers.

Morlaes's game is smooth everything he does on the court he makes it seem easy. With his experience and understanding of the game Morales will have an instant impact. Donte has no problem with calling his teammates out if they are not doing what they should be and thats is something the Pioneers have been missing the last couple years.

A. My favorite move is the crossover to the between the legs JAM! Rap is my favorite type of music and 2chainz is one my favorite artists in the game. Dont really have a favorite book. Dave Chappelle is my favorite TV show.

Q. After you find yourself struggling for a bit, do you find yourself responding better to criticism or praise to step your game up ?

A. A little of both

Q. How do you get prepared for a game ?

A. I just read a bible verse say a prayer then listen to music

Q. What is on the funniest in game stories you have?

A. When ever Reggie(Williams) falls

Q. If you have a been a bench warmer or a guy didnt play as much when was it and what is going through your during the games ?

A.Some touneys in AAU if I was slacking I'd sit the bench. I would just be mad at the coach (haha) but I would just stay positive

A. Nobody

A. I really wanted 2 but 3 was my second choice. I like the way the jersey fits
